Biography

I study at the Berlin School of Library and Information Science of the Humboldt-University of Berlin, currently working on my master’s degree in Information Science. Furthermore, I work as a student assistant in the department for Information Behavior at the same school. I finished my undergraduate degree with my bachelor thesis ‘Information Seeking Behavior of Refugees - A Video Analysis’. Through this thesis I discovered my strong interest in Information Behavior research. However, since I also enjoy the topics of Information Retrieval, so much so that I would like to engage in more research concerning that field, in order to further specify my research interests. Therefore I am finalizing my exposé for my master thesis. The thesis will go in the direction of automatic document classification of a given document set. Besides my studies, I love to sing no matter if I am just by myself or together with my choir. To pursue this hobby I taught myself how to play the ukulele. Furthermore, I enjoy gardening (as far as my tiny balcony allows it), going on a hike or just a simple walk and connecting to nature in general. Since this is important to me, I want to build my own eco-friendly natural house one day. To learn how to (theoretically) do that, I also use my spare time to read books and watch videos about ecologically building technics and I also visit some building workshops.
